This was a massive project. It took a very long time to finish because I couldn’t get the clouds right.
I started with four different colours in different styles on the canvas but then after a while repainting and repainting I wanted to do a field and cloudy sky because I just love that, but my painting skills can’t get near that. So I thought I try to make the sky look like it’s ripped open (as in Bleach) but that didn’t work as I wanted it to. I stumbled upon a method that let me make nice clouds but I decided to let a bit of the black stay.
Funny thing it looks like another picture I made only upside down.

Sadly it’s slightly damaged due to transport.
This picture was based on a picture my classmates and I did in school for art class years ago. I wanted to do to something with structure and so the painting from years ago popped into my mind. The idea of both paintings is the same: several areas divided by black lines and none of the colours inside should be in a neighbour cell.
I am not sure if you can see it on the picture but underneath the colours is a texture with lines. I did it for two reasons. 1) I wanted to do something different from the painting we made in school and 2) I thought without it it would be a bit too boring.
This canvas was also in use before.
